Portal Challenge Rules
Head-to-head, in plain English. Portal Tech, Inc. · Effective September 27, 2026.
What a challenge is
A challenge is a head-to-head race between two Portal users to earn the most likes or views over 24 hours or 7 days.
Anyone can challenge anyone. The other person has 24 hours to accept; if they don’t, the challenge expires and nothing happens.
How it’s scored
Only likes or views earned on posts made after the challenge is accepted count.
Everything either of you posts during the window counts automatically.
Likes and views from your own account don’t count.
When time runs out, the higher total wins; equal totals are a draw.
One at a time
You can have one open challenge, pending or active, at a time. Finish or withdraw it before starting another.
What you win
Bragging rights, a spot in your Trophy Room, and the Challenger and Undisputed badges as you rack up wins.
Playing fair
Buying likes or views, using multiple accounts, or asking people to spam-like your posts will get the challenge voided and can get your account suspended. We check.
Withdrawing
You can withdraw a challenge you sent while it’s still pending. Once it’s accepted, it runs to the end.
Changes
We may update these rules as challenges evolve. The version on this page is the one that applies.
