These terms are the deal between you and Portal Tech, Inc. ("Portal", "we") when you use the Portal app. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
Who can use Portal
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian is okay with you using the app. One account per person; keep your login to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
Your content
What you post is yours. You give Portal a license to store, show and distribute it inside the app and in previews and share cards you create, for as long as it's on Portal. Posts disappear from feeds after 48 hours. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, and don't post other people without their okay.
The rules
The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short: real content from where you are, no nudity, no harassment, no impersonation, no buying likes or views, no scraping or bots, no attempts to get around age protections. We can remove content, restrict features, or close accounts that break them, and we may not warn you first.
Challenges, leaderboards and coins
Leaderboards rank public stats. Challenges are contests of skill governed by the Challenge Rules. If Portal offers coins, they are virtual items with no cash value that can't be transferred outside Portal or refunded except as Apple's policies require; only creators can convert earned rewards to money, through our payment partner, subject to verification. Manipulating stats voids results and may close your account.
Location
Portal needs your location to post. Posts are tied to the city you're in when you capture them. Don't fake or spoof your location.
Safety features
We apply protections for users under 18 based on birthday, school and posting location. These may limit who can message you or whose comments are shown. They're part of the service and can't be turned off.
Ending things
You can delete your account any time in Settings. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put people at risk.
What we don't promise
Portal is provided as is. We work hard to keep it up and safe but can't guarantee it will always work, and we're not responsible for what other users post. To the extent the law allows, Portal's liability to you is limited to $100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is more.
Disputes
Texas law applies. If we have a problem, email us first and we'll try to sort it out. Otherwise disputes go to the courts in Kendall County, Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app. Continuing to use Portal after that means you accept the new terms.
