Portal is real people, real moments, from where you actually are. These rules keep it that way.
Be real. Post what you capture in the app, where you are. No uploads, no reposts, no spoofed locations.
Be decent. No harassment, threats, hate, or bullying. No nudity or sexual content. Nothing illegal, and nothing that puts someone in danger.
Respect other people. Don't post people who don't want to be posted. No impersonation. No sharing private info (addresses, phone numbers, schools) about anyone.
Play fair. No buying likes or views, no alt accounts, no bots, no scripting. Leaderboards and challenges only mean something if they're honest.
Younger users. Portal is 13+. Adults: don't message or pursue users you don't know who are under 18. The app applies protections automatically and we log attempts to get around them.

Report anything
Every profile, post and comment has a report option. Reports go to a real person. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
Requests from people you don't know
If you're under 16 and an adult you don't follow messages you, it arrives as a request. You don't have to accept it. Never share your location, school or photos with someone you don't know, and tell a trusted adult if something feels off.
What happens when rules are broken
Content gets removed, features get restricted, and repeat or serious cases lose their account. We don't always warn first.
