What is synthetic media?
Definition
Synthetic media is any image, video, audio or text generated or heavily altered by AI.
It includes deepfakes, AI art, AI voices and AI avatars. Portal's terms prohibit synthetic media.
Portal is a free iPhone social app where every photo and video must be captured live in the app, with no uploads and no AI content allowed. See how Portal works.
