How can I use social media more intentionally?
Short answer
Choose apps that show real people and real places, turn off autoplay where you can, follow fewer and better accounts, and post real moments instead of scrolling past fake ones.
What to know
- Set a purpose before you open an app.
- Favor local and friend content over endless recommendations.
- Expiring posts reduce pressure to curate a perfect grid.
