What is an ephemeral social media app?
Short answer
An ephemeral social media app is one where posts disappear or expire after a set time. On Portal, posts leave the public feed after 48 hours and save to your profile as memories.
What to know
- Snapchat popularized disappearing messages.
- Ephemeral content lowers the pressure to be perfect.
- It keeps feeds focused on what's happening now.
